Battle Lines are Drawn

It was 0230 hrs in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, when I and my friend were going back to home from the office. Road was empty and our autowala was driving with high speed after having couple of pegs of country wine.

My eyes suddenly got lit up, both sides of the road was decorated with sparkling fancy lights.  As I was in a very light mood as told my friend that it seemed like a set of the movie of Mr. Raj Kapoor in the night. He responded with laughter that yeah Raj Kapoor, the greatest Show man of Hindi Cinema. (Guys stop calling it Bollywood, don’t try to be identical, we are unique.) I nodded my head and said yeah that place is empty after his demise. Many directors have been trying to grab the position but none succeeded.

My friend counter attracted me and arguably told me that I was wrong that place was filled then.

He continued, “May be none of the director is able to do so, but the place is not empty after 2002.”

I started thinking, if not director then who else can fill the place? And then suddenly realize what he was referring to. Those fancy lights on both the side of the road.

No it wasn’t for any marriage reception or for any other religious procession. These decorations were meant for the inauguration of the new Police Station. That surprised me. But then why not? After all this is the main Police Station of the constituency that belongs to none other than the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr. Narendra Mody.

Well neither those lightings not police station is at the heart of the subject. Being a political journo I am certainly going to talk about politics only.

It was beginning of the winter in Nov. 2007 when I speculated that soon after the Gujarat Assembly Election-which was in Dec. 2007- Narendra Mody will be shifted to Delhi. Let me say technically I was wrong, as he is still there where he was. Well its different thing that he has become stronger and taller leader for India in BJP.

Its hard earned reputation he is having. It’s not mere a co-incident that today every corner of Gujarat is flourishing with development and state itself seems like, become a heart of India. It’s his development agenda which has put Gujarat on high growth path. 3rd consecutive victory in Assembly poll helped him gain the status he is having today. I don’t know what others are having in their mind about MR Mody, but ask any Gujarati, you will have solution of your beliefs. After Gujarat poll, many political commentators started spreading rumors that now he has become as taller as L K Advani and he is contender for the Prime Minister ship. That was an effort had gone in vain was made by few congress backed TV journalists to create a rift within the BJP.

Guys, I am really faded up with these ready-to-die politicians. Aren’t you? I mean as we say in Hindi, “ek pair kabar me he fir bhi kursi chhut-ti nahi”. I have a dream. It’s a long awaited desire in me. I really wanna see this desire come true in this very election.

I really don’t wanna see the political strangle between Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and L K Advani. I wanna fresh faces and young boiling blood – like I have – to see at loggerhead. And what batter alternative we can have then his election will politically be fought between Mr. cool and confident Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the face of young, enthusiastic and exuberant India, and relatively young and face of a new developed India Mr. Narendra Mody. This is much awaited political battle I really wanna see this election.

As always, most revered and respectful, and of course knowledgeable too, political experts are ready to face another defeat. Normally they go wrong during the pre-poll and post-poll analyses, but as this time Government of India has banned any kind of speculation on election, they have started making noise long before election. Its 3more months to go before India will go into the election frame. Those have started calling this May 2009 poll, uninteresting, dry and unproductive election, and eventless election. As if they have result chart in their hand and they have already gauge the mood of the electoral India.

Well, let them talk “yes None Sense” things. I am excited, elated and joyful knowing the fact that battle line are already drawn underneath my feet, Seems like at the door steps. I am not intended to prove those political experts wrong but I can see that even though elections are relatively away, Soil of Gujarat is becoming battle filed for the Indian Politics, initially.

Rallies, right into the kingdom of Narendra Mody, under his Nose in Ahmedabad by Rahul Gandhi is a proof that Rahul is intended to create a dent in BJP fort. 3 day trip to cover almost the whole Gujarat, is a clear sign that this political fight is not for a time being but a prolong one. Yesterday was women “sam-melan” organized by the BJP. Today its inauguration of the police station. This all are ways to tackle the “Rahul effect” Gujarat.

Frequent visit of Rahul Gandhi can’t be politically tolerated by Narendra Mody, so certainly he is going to try and curb the impact and will throw salvos every now and then on this new Gandhi, as he did jus yesterday calling him “a boy with silver spoon” in his mouth can’t understand the way of grass root workers of BJP.

This is my dream to see these two completely different characters of Indian politics at each other’s loggerhead rather than Mrs. Gandhi and L K Advani. So guys wait and watch these politicians are going to prove their commentators again wrong. But guys rests assure neither these politicians nor those commentators going to design this election. We the people are going to make it interesting and worthy.

We are going to determine the future of this nation and we have the opportunity this time around to make it count. You choose Rahul or Mody, doesn’t matter, but you go for a vote, a thoughtful vote is what important, not just sake for the vote.

Let’s make this opportunity a worthy exercise for the nation for the batter future.

New Beginning

Golden Run has come to an end. Reality is embarrassing the sky flyers of the Info. Tech. Industry.

One of the most developed and hyped sector of dream India is coming to the terms of the realism and economical doctrine. One of the first industries, in India to get the rich chunk of the government policies after India opened the doors for the foreign players to do the business in India. It has evolved and got enriched with the time in last 10 years; consider being a golden era for the IT sector. It was Golden run for industry as well as for those employees of the industry, who call them the most able, potent and skilled people in India.

I am sure none of the IT guy would know the principles of economics, the same time IT companies too, might forget the rules of economics. I may sound little annoyed or jealous on IT field, but that’s not the fact. I am not intent so sound pessimistic. I may be wrong, I am just trying to figure out the reality of IT sector and attitude of those are working in the sector.

Along with those skilled and multitasking experts, large Number of IT HELPERS were also flying high. During the golden era, lot many colleges across the nation popped up offering any damn course in IT, making everyone highly skilled and talented IT biggies. We may forget the principles of trade and business cant. No private sector In India has gone without any correction. Only public sector can flourish without worries as they need not to think about income, revenue and costing. For It was a rich and prosperous evolvement from the scratch.

Every private sector has to go through some kind of correction after certain span of time. For me it’s high time in IT sector as well. As long as I understand the international trade and economics, IT sector is less affected by economical slow down worldwide, but more by much awaited correction. People in IT were in kind of illusive mindset that no one can really hamper their rally. Now they are being brought to the reality by slowdown and simple economics. Economy may be simple, as it seems certainly not smoother one.

What you think Industry doesn’t have the jobs? They do. Certainly they do. IBM just offered their American staff to join Indian Units. Means Indian IT still providing jobs, but to whom? Certainly not for those who were working in the industry as an IT HELPERs. Many friends of mine have lost their jobs otherwise on the verge of losing it. I always have heard them taking about one thing. It’s not my words, words from ITens Only. IT companies have only 30% of staff worthy and rest eating fruit of self developed IT sector. Only 30% are the real assets for the industry and rest getting salary for surfing social network sites and listening to the songs.

What else can u expect in such a situation? Cost cutting is the reality now in IT. IT companies have to lay off unnecessary burden and only need to reward who are the real assets for the company.

As soon as I wake up in the morning on Friday, the last working day, my eyes got wide open and stand still. All my 4 friends were planning to go to Goa. It was surprised to me. Goa, in this season? Are they going crazy?

No they were not. The plan they have made out of the given situation to laugh at the circumstances, they are getting into. One has already lost the job and another one is going to be unemployed next month. Another 2 are planning to change the company as they are not getting good salary from the company. That's where I am concerned, their attitude.

I was talking to one of the senior and very experienced guy, working in the IT sector in UK. When i asked him about his opinion on IT Industry as a whole and Indian IT sector in particular, he echoed my sentiments. He told me that IT people in India were always over paid, and that had made them more greedy to demand more without delivering the goods. Unduly hype was given to the industry as well as the people working in it.

This is where I am concerned. The attitude of ma fallow Indians working in the IT sector, still flying high. One of my friends just gets the job after 3 months of unemployment with decent package. He left the job in just 2 days, 'Coz Company is not good. After 2 years of experience in smaller companies he want job that can offer him Lac Rs. per month.

Hundred of examples of same kind are available in front of me. I know everyone is not the same and may be in some cases potential people may have lost the job or on the verge of, but guys we need to look at the present scenario which is not conducive to make demands.

Experts are saying that because of the worldwide slow down, it has become more chipper to work with Indian IT firms and that’s why more and more work is coming to India. Company like IBM has offered their North American Employees to work in India and Other South East Asian countries. It shows that work is there and increasing with slow pace, but why no new employment in the sector? Coz companies have already people in excess, and under the cost cutting scenario they are going to lay off more IT helpers, as they are merely burden on the firm.

You may have skills but you have to respect the situation and have to move according to its demand. Compromise with the package and other facilities will make your place sure sooner or later, or else Sector itself will compromise with you and move ahead without you. IT firms do have limited requirement but for those who are multitasking and not mere an IT helpers.

Don’t let yourself down, you have played big role in making Dream India, reality for us, and you again going to play the same role for us. It’s about time, which demands patience and balance head on shoulder from us. You still have lots of work to do to construct new progressive Indian society and certainly for our progress. You are still good enough, don’t doubt yourself, you along with others going to play a crucial role to build new world for us. What we need is……..

Just little wisdom and future belongs us…………INDIA.

Human Unhumaned

I am not surprised if experts are calling it a day for the mankind on the earth. They may have science at their disposal to prove the facts, I have some spiritual and emotional reasons to feel like man kind is moving towards it end.

I have hobby to get into the minds of as many as people possible. Huge curiosity I have in my mind to know what and how people think about different issues and how they respond and react to the situation arise to them or to others. Being in media, I normally get the chance to many people in a single day I never met before and if I am not working then I am on the net to talk to friends and other random people.

Be it teenager, youth or oldie, in India favorite topic of chit chatting is love and affairs related to it. Another one issue I have seen is day to day school college or office affairs we normally use to talk with people, we call them net friends.

If I cumulate my observations along with other’s accounts I get from various kind of people about their life, findings of my observations are horrifying. It makes me think of what kinda world we are living in where every human being is not just playing with emotions of others but also hiding him or herself from his or her own existence. S/he not only playing with others sentiments but also putting him or herself into the psychological problems while slipping into the virtual world, where reality is far more illusive and foggy happiness takes control of a human life and unknowingly we completely isolate ourselves from the rest of the world.

I am writing this out of pain. The kind of experiences I am listening from the people is making me feeling like I am living in alien’s world where emotions are museum element.
Just month back one of my friend committed suicide because of not getting the person in life he wanted. Another friend of mine is getting separated with her husband after 10 years of married life. Reason: they don’t love each other now. One friend of mine is getting back to her husband coz she doesn’t have any other choice and need to survive.

It hurts. The only question comes to my mind is why we have become so insensible and insensitive, completely emotionless. Why we don’t value the human life of others and our own as well. When you ask the person, what is the most valuable thing in your life, what you want from the life? Instantly reply comes, LOVE.

I have seen people talking on phone, net or in person for so many hours about concept of love of their life. I have heard people telling the only thing they want in life and they value is nothing but love. When actually it enters in life from one direction I have seen people looking in other direction for batter option without knowing the fact that love doesn’t have alternatives. Most of the time we spent in talking about values of love and rest of the things are really immaterial to us, and when it struck we judge them in terms of external beauty and value it in terms of monitory gains.

Lot many people have tried to make me understand that this is the rule of life, this is the way how life goes, as if I don’t know. This is the thing we human need to understand that human life is more valuable then anything else in the world and only thing which helps us survive is nothing but a love, no matter from where it comes. One of my friend aged 42, have been trying to find love of her life since her younger days, till today it has eluded her. She has almost lost the control of her life.

We need to understand that if we are getting blind love from someone we must not lose out on them. We have developed the habit of asking more then what we are getting. When we will understand that external beauty will fad soon, and only internal emotions and feelings will make you survive in most difficult situation of life. Otherwise your own life will become piece of joke in your own eyes and when you look back at your life, you will only count what you have lost in life and gains will be invisible. In that situation we start blaming the destiny. Let me assure you it’s not the destiny but your own decisions have made you what you are.

We have never learnt from the mistakes been done by others. We may have cases life those in our own family still we close our life towards reality of life n take decision to compromise our life and love for the sake of beauty and money. This grip of materialistic world need to be loosened up otherwise we, man kind lose its own existence very soon………and extremist person like me will say let the man kind vanish on the earth and let the Adam and Eve to start back for us from where they had left so many years ago. Not for the individual, reincarnation is required for the earth.
